Sustaining a business venture requires organizing income, receiving timely payments, and having resources available for investment. In the digital economy, financial technologies (Fintech) offer alternatives to address these needs and expand access to financial services. This research aimed to analyze the opportunities and barriers associated with their use in fostering financial inclusion and the growth of sustainable entrepreneurship, while considering resource management as well as digital and financial competencies. A systematic literature review was conducted following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, involving the identification, selection, and synthesis of studies on digital payments, financing platforms, and financial management tools. The results highlighted opportunities to facilitate transactions, diversify funding sources, and support business management. Barriers related to connectivity, training, security, and service transparency were also identified. The study concluded that the responsible use of Fintech depended on selecting appropriate tools, financial planning, and entrepreneur preparedness, alongside an assessment of their contribution to the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of sustainability.
