The incorporation of digital technologies presents organizations with the challenge of preparing their people and coordinating changes that add value to their work practices. This research aimed to analyze the connection between project management and organizational innovation within the context of digital transformation, considering management approaches, digital competencies, leadership, and organizational learning. A systematic literature review was conducted following the PRISMA 2020 guidelines, involving the identification, selection, and synthesis of empirical research and reviews related to the topic. The analysis suggested that the contribution of projects to innovation was linked to planning, resource coordination, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, in alignment with institutional capabilities and priorities. Continuous training and knowledge sharing were also identified as significant conditions for supporting the adoption of technology. It was concluded that project management provides a framework for linking digital initiatives with strategic objectives, while the creation of value requires considering the integration of solutions into daily work and the sustainability of their benefits.
