Editorial Endogamy Policy

Educational Regent Multidisciplinary Journal (ERMJ) maintains an active policy to prevent editorial endogamy, in accordance with international best practices in scholarly publishing and the ethical principles promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). This policy seeks to preserve editorial independence, foster academic diversity, and ensure the transparency and credibility of the publication process.

To prevent the institutional concentration of authorship, articles involving at least one author affiliated with the editorial team, scientific committees or publishing institution must not exceed 25% of the total number of articles published during the most recent editorial year. Where a full editorial year has not yet been completed, the two most recent issues will be considered. This percentage constitutes an internal ERMJ criterion intended to ensure institutional diversity.

When members of the editorial team or academic bodies submit manuscripts, their work will undergo the same double-blind peer-review process as any other submission. The manuscript will be managed by an independent editor, and authors affiliated with the journal will not participate in any stage of the evaluation or decision-making process concerning their own work.

The selection of reviewers will prioritise institutional, geographical and disciplinary diversity. Reviewers must also disclose any conflict of interest that could affect the objectivity, independence or transparency of the evaluation.

Through this policy, ERMJ reaffirms its commitment to publication ethics, independent decision-making, academic diversity, the prevention of conflicts of interest, and excellence in the publication of multidisciplinary research.
