Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to publish in the Educational Regent Multidisciplinary Journal must submit their manuscripts via email to educationalregent@gmail.com or through the journal's online submission system. Only unpublished manuscripts not under simultaneous review by other academic journals will be considered.

Publications are accepted in Spanish and English, provided that at least one author is a native speaker or the text has been professionally translated.

Manuscript format and structure

Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx), using Garamond 12-point font and 1.15 line spacing. The document size should be A4.

Manuscript structure:

  • Length: between 11 and 20 pages (approximately 3500 to 8000 words).

  • Title: in both Spanish and English, with a maximum of 15 words.

  • Author details: include email address, ORCID ID (e.g., https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2237-7613), and institutional affiliation.

  • Abstract: in Spanish and English, with a maximum of 240 words.

  • Keywords: three to five in both languages, separated by commas.

  • Body of the article:

    • For research articles: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions.

    • For other article types: Development and Conclusions.

Additional elements:

  • Page numbers: must appear centered in the footer.

  • Tables and figures: should be numbered in order of appearance and titled at the top. Figures must be submitted in .jpg or .png format, with a maximum width of 10 cm and file size under 100 KB.

  • Footnotes: numbered with Arabic numerals and limited to 60 words each.

  • Appendices: must be referenced in the text and included at the end of the manuscript.

Citations and references

Citations and references must follow APA Style, 7th edition. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all references. A minimum of 15 references is required, preferably from the last five years, with priority given to works indexed in Scopus or SciELO. References must appear at the end of the manuscript, in alphabetical order and with hanging indent.

Examples:

  • Book: Lastname, A. A. (Year). Book title. Publisher.

  • Journal article: Lastname, A. A. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, volume(issue), pp–pp.

Plagiarism policy

The editorial board uses specialized software to detect similarities and ensure the originality of submissions.

Privacy statement

The names and email addresses provided to the journal will be used exclusively for editorial purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

  • Attribution: Proper credit must be given to the authors and the journal, a link to the license must be included, and any changes to the original content must be clearly indicated. Attribution does not imply endorsement of the use by the authors or the journal.

The journal does not impose any additional restrictions beyond those specified by the license, thus encouraging the free circulation of knowledge, its academic reuse, and international reach.

Privacy Statement

The identity of the authors and their contributions will be protected by the editorial team and the Scientific Committee of Educational Regent Multidisciplinary Journal (ERMJ) if the manuscript is not accepted for publication.

Articles undergoing evaluation will not be shared or disclosed unless they are formally published following acceptance. The information contained in manuscripts will be treated as strictly confidential and will not be used for personal purposes or for purposes unrelated to the editorial process.

The personal data of authors, members of the editorial and scientific committees, and external reviewers entered into the journal’s platform will be used exclusively for the academic and editorial purposes declared by Educational Regent Multidisciplinary Journal. Under no circumstances will such data be provided to third parties or used for purposes other than those established in the journal’s editorial policies.
